Previous season

The Billikens finished the 2022–23 season 17–18, 10–6 in A–10 play to finish in a tie for third place.[1] They defeated Saint Joseph's,[2] Rhode Island,[3] and UMass to win their first ever A–10 tournament championship, to clinch the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA tournament, their first NCAA tournament appearance in program history.[4] They were placed in the Seattle Regional 3 as the #13 seed, where they would be defeated by Tennessee in the first round.[5]
