- Notes
- ^[a] Although Zac Efron portrayed Troy Bolton in the movie, Drew Seeley's recordings were used for Troy's vocals instead of Efron's for the majority of the movie and soundtrack, the outliers are "Start of Something New" and "Breaking Free", where Efron sings the beginning portions of the songs. Seeley was originally uncredited for his vocals on the soundtrack.[7]
- ^[b] The "Start of Something New" and "Breaking Free" instrumentals appear on the second disc of the special edition, and are thus removed from the first disc. On the Walmart collector's edition, the "Start of Something New" instrumental appears as track seven. Both karaoke tracks do not appear on the 2018 LP pressings.
