Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD Jaipur) is an academic institution located in Jaipur, India, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the areas of craft design. The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design is an autonomous institute set up by the Government of Rajasthan and managed by the Ambuja Educational Institute (AEI) under the public–private partnership model.

Programs

IICD offers a variety of programs focused around different materials and design mediums:

• Soft Material Design focuses on the use of soft materials and technologies including textiles, paper, and leather
• Hard Material Design focuses on the use of hard materials such as wood, metal, and stone
• Fired Material Design explores the properties and use of various clay bodies such as terracotta, earthenware, stoneware and porcelain
• Fashion Clothing Design uses India's rich cultural backdrop and context to discuss the fundamentals of fashion design, covering topics such as pattern making, draping, garment construction and textile science
• Jewelry Design fosters an appreciation and understanding of traditional handcrafted jewelry, along with a broader understanding of international jewelry markets and trends
• Crafts Communication enables students to more effectively communicate the properties and value of various crafts through proper documentation, analysis, storytelling, promotion, selling, and packaging
