KK Dinamo Zagreb is basketball club from Zagreb, Croatia.

Club was founded in 1972. as KK Rudeš. In 2020 KK Rudeš changed its name and logo to KK Dinamo Zagreb.

History

Basketball club Dinamo Zagreb was founded in year 1972 as basketball club Rudeš by initiative of few basketball enthusiastics from Rudeš. The club had 48-year-long history and was known as stabile and recognisable club for many talented players.

Basketball club Rudeš played low-tier leagues in Yugoslavia and Croatia. In 2006 club struggled with financial difficulties. With new management, supported by young basketball enthusiasts, football fans of GNK Dinamo and Mladen Miholić, club managed to overcome problems. The main goal at the beginning was developing youth basketball.

One of the greatest croatian coaches Neven Spahija, had recognised club's potential and became vice president of the club in 2011. From that time ckub gained a lot of success such as medals in youth categories and qualification of senior team to the First men's basketball league.

The club's ambitions growed. The club's name was changed and also the management. Club gained massive support by the Bad Blue Boys. Name changing in KK Dinamo Zagreb happened in May 13, 2020.[1][2][3]

Team currently competes in Croatian Basketball Premier League and Alpe Adria Cup.
