Malayali Brahmin family in Kerala in 1902
Malayali Brahmins (Malayalam: മലയാളി ബ്രാഹ്മണർ, malayali brahmanner; also known as Malayala Brahmanar) or Kerala Brahmins are the group of Brahmins from the Indian state of Kerala. These groups include the Nambudiri, Pushpaka Unni][Pushpaka|Kurukkal,[1] Nambeesan, Nambidi, Moothath (Moosad), Ilayath,[2] Chakyar, Nambiar, [3] and the Potti.[4] The Pidarar community are Brahmins that follow Kaula sampradaya.
