Parjanya[1][2](Sanskrit: पार्जन्य, IAST: Pārjánya) also known as Parjanya Maharaja[3] or Parjanya[4] is one of the son of Yadava king Devamida[5] and the brother of Shurasena. He was also paternal grandfather of Krishna[1] and father of the Nanda.[6][7]
According to Mahabharata and Puranas, he was born to second wife of king Devamida[5][8] and was given the charge as chieftain of Mahavan (a region of Braj).[9][10]
