2012 - Fabien Knoll and others published a study of the braincase of primitive Jurassic sauropod Spinophorosaurus from Niger. They found that it shared some traits with more advanced sauropods, but couldn't determine if these traits developed independently or not.
Caleb Marshall Brown and Anthony P. Russell examined some mysterious bony structures in the tails of pachycephalosaurs and found theme to be normally soft connective tissue in the tail that evolved into bone. They concluded that these boney structures distinguished them from other four-limbed animals.
