Workers pose alongside a streamlined German DRG Class 05 locomotive as it steams for the first time in March 1935. The class was the fastest steam locomotive to run in Continental Europe, and briefly held the Land speed record for steam traction. This locomotive, number 05 001, is the only member of the class to be preserved.
