Positivo Tecnologia, also known was POSITEC, is a Brazilian technology company headquartered in Curitiba, Paraná. It was founded in 1989 under the name Positivo Informática, which it kept until 2017.[5] It is the I.T. branch of the Brazilian holding company Grupo Positivo.[6]
In 2023, its product portfolio included smartphones, laptops, computer servers, tablets, payment solutions, security cameras, smart gadgets for the home and offices,[7] electronic ballots, set-top box for Brazilian digital television, and educational softwares used in more than 40 countries. The company also serves as an OEM/ODM/EMS.
It is listed on the Novo Mercado of B3 as POSI3.
History
Founded by Oriovisto Guimarães and Helio Rotenberg in 1989 as a computer production line that was meant to meet Grupo Positivo's need to supply PCs to its clients, these being the group's own and partner schools.
On December 2009, Positivo Tecnologia incorporated Kennex (Boreo Comércio de Equipamentos), expanding the equipment line, aiming to start manufacturing goods for customers in classes C and D.

Target market
Positec's target customers are Brazilians in classes C/D who have the need and purchasing power to buy a personal computer or mobile devices. The low-cost configurations alongside ong-term financing has allowed the company to build a national coverage and distribution model in 2004, selling the products in all major retail companies throughout Brazil.[8][9][10]
Positivo Tecnologia has diversified contracts with the Brazilian government for electronic ballots[11] to reduce its dependence on computer sales and variations in the economy.
