The Samsung Galaxy A14 is an Android smartphone designed and manufactured by Samsung Electronics. The 5G model was announced on January 4, 2023,[4][5][6][7] and the 4G LTE model was announced on February 28, 2023.[8][9] The phones have a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 6.6 in PLS LCD display with the 5G model running at 90 Hz, and 5000 mAh Li-Po battery. The phones ship with One UI Core 5 on top of Android 13. The device is part of Samsung's A Series lineup.

The LTE model is paired with either a Samsung Exynos 850 (8 nm) (4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 & 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55), or a MediaTek MT6769 Helio G80 (12 nm) (2x2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55), and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.

5G model SM-A146B comes with an Exynos 1330 (5 nm) SOC, which includes an Octa-core (2x2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) processor, and a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. This is a big performance upgrade over last year's phone.

5G model SM-A146P comes with a MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 (7 nm) which includes an octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) processor, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This is the same as last year's phone.

Storage

Both models come in configurations of 64Gb storage / 4Gb RAM, 128/4, and 128/6. The 5G model also comes with a 128/8 configuration.

Both phones come with expandable storage, LTE and 5G international models using a dedicated microSDXC card slot, and the 5G USA's microSDXC using a sharedSIM slot.

Camera

Both models include a triple camera rear setup, although include different cameras. They both come with the same 50 MP f/1.8 (wide-angle) main camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and a 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) camera. The 4G model comes with a 5 MP f/2.2 Ultrawide.

The 5G model includes a 2 MP f/2.4 depth lens. Both cameras are capable of 1080p@30fps video, and make use of HDR technology.

Both models use the same 13 MP f/2.0 selfie camera that is capable of 1080@30fps video.

Battery

Both phones come with the same 5000 mAh non-removeable Li-Po battery, that supports fast charging of 15W (Wired USB-C).

Display

Both models come with a 6.6 in PLS LCD FHD display (1080 x 2408).

The 5G model's screen comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate screen though it is not possible to select a default screen refresh rate. Currently the two option are: Adaptive (switches between 60hz and 90hz dynamically) and Standard (60hz only).

Features

Both phones come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 side-mounted fingerprint scanner, GPS, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass.

The 5G model also comes with a Bluetooth 5.2 gyro sensor, barometer (USA only), FM Radio (Exynos 1330 only), and 5G

Neither phone comes with an IP rating.

Design

The phone features a very similar design from last year utilizing the same screen, and very similar camera setup. Both phones feature a glass front, plastic back, and plastic frame.

Colors

The 4G model comes in black, dark red, silver, and green.

The 5G model comes in black, light green, dark red, and silver.

Dimensions

Both phones are 167.7x78x9.1mm (6.60x3.07x0.36in).

The 4G model is 201g, while the 5G model is 202g.
