Şaja Batyrowiç Batyrow[lower-alpha 1] (1908–1965) was a Soviet politician who served as the first secretary of the Communist Party of Turkmenistan. He also was head of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan from 1959 to 1965.

His term as first secretary lasted from March 1947 until 1950, when Balyş Öwezow succeeded him.[1]

He received the Order of Lenin.

Legacy

A street is named after him in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat.[2]
