側頸龜亞目

側頸龜亞目（學名：）是龜鱉目的兩個亞目之一，另一個是曲頸龜亞目。這兩個亞目的龜都十分容易分辨。同曲頸龜亞目一樣，這一亞目的學名就是由“側頸”翻譯到拉丁文的[2]。側頸龜亞目的物种只生存與南半球，大部份在澳大利亞、南美洲和赤道以南的非洲。[2]
