墨西哥跳蝮
墨西哥跳蝮（學名：Atropoides nummifer）是蛇亞目蝰蛇科蝮亞科跳蝮屬下的一種有毒蛇類，主要分布於墨西哥及中美洲，目前共有3個亞種已被確認。[2]

特徵
成年的墨西哥跳蝮體型壯碩偏短，約長46至61公分，鼻端圓突。[3]背鱗約有23至27組，結構密集堅硬，節段分明。雙眼間有數組細碎的吻鱗。[3]身體以黃褐色、淺棕色或灰色為基調，另外有約20段偏暗的長菱形斑紋。腹部呈白色，偶爾出現暗棕色的斑點。[3]此蛇有時會被誤認為南美巨蝮（Lachesis muta），但只要鑑定其尾端便能分辨二者（南美巨蝮的尾巴為響尾蛇結構，能抖動但不能發出聲響）。[3]目前墨西哥跳蝮被世界自然保護聯盟紅色名錄列為「低危」級別。[4]
