製作
It was filmed in 1984 in Matera and Craco both in Basilicata, and Campo Imperatore in Abruzzo, the Lanaitto valley (Oliena) in Sardinia, Italy, and at Pinewood Studios in England.[2]
評價
這部電影的評價並不是很好，纽约时报曾以「並不是一部好電影」形容，而爛番茄的評價也只有14%[3] 。李察‧吉爾也以此片獲得了金酸莓獎最差男主角的提名，不過最終是由席維斯·史特龍獲獎。
後記
幾年之後，Bruce Beresford 提到這部片：
我覺得這部片有一些有趣的地方，但是也有很多不好之處。我們並不喜歡這個劇本......我們也沒有好好的表現出大衛漢約拿單之間的情誼。而至於大衛──我認為李察‧吉爾是個不適當的選角，他是個優秀的演員，不過在時裝劇的作品會有更好的表現。[4]
