此專輯部份歌曲歌詞在推出市面前已經被過濾掉如Bad Kids、The Queen、Government Hooker，目前並未推出載有未審查的版本。

背景和录制

2010年3月，Gaga透露她正在准备一张新专辑，而且已经写好了大多数歌曲。[2]除开在巡演大巴上面的录制工作，专辑的录制工作和混音在如下录音室完成：英国伦敦的阿比路录音室、澳大利亚悉尼的301录音室、澳大利亚墨尔本的Sing Sing录音室、法国巴黎的Gang录音室、挪威奥斯陆的Livingroom录音室、英国的Allerton Hill、内布拉斯加州奥马哈的Warehouse Productions录音室、内华达州拉斯维加斯的Palms录音室、意大利米兰的Officine Meccaniche录音室、佛罗里达州迈阿密海滩录音室和纽约市的Germano录音室。[3]E街乐队前萨克管手克拉倫斯·克萊蒙和皇后乐队的吉他手布赖恩·梅参与了专辑的录制。[4][5]
