妇女行动与研究协会
婦女行動與研究協會(英語:;該會簡稱AWARE,意為“關注”)是新加坡一個為促進男女平等而設立的非政府組織,並在不同場合為女性發聲。該組織於1985年9月25日正式成立。該組織現有550名成員。[1]
爭議事件
2009年,該組織成星國媒體關注焦點。起因是刘鸣鹂(Josie Lau)女士所領導的基本教義派教會“新加坡救主堂”的女基督徒接管了該協會的執行委員會,宣稱該協會有親同性戀傾向。原領導層提出舉行不信任动议投票。在進三千人加入該會之後,新執委會於2009年5月2日被投票罷免。[2] 在2,175投票會員中,1,414名投了不信任票。[3]
