發音（英語：）是指：

人类发声构造侧视图。此图未标示“声门”，其位于标示咽喉通路与喉之间，为两瓣声带之间的开口；横向未标者为声带。此外，注意“腭”与“颚”为不同部位；图中“颚”是指下颚（下颌），但图未标示“上颚”（上颌）。

一個詞語在不同的個體與群組有著不同的发音方式，取決於很多因素，譬如他們發展的時間、詞語發展地、使用者的成長地、使用者的現居地、社會階層和教育水平等。

語音學的发音

語音學是語言學中專門研究語音的分支。广义上语音的产生称为发音，包括气流机制、发声和调音三个独立过程，大体上先后分别由发音器官的三个部分来实行。不过这“先后”指的是气流过程的先后，而不是动作本身的顺序。[1]^:14
