內容大要
里奇試圖在浴缸內自殺時，電話響起。他妹妹麥姬要求他照顧她的女兒蘇菲娜。里奇猶豫一陣子後決定起身。
里奇在蘇菲娜的要求下帶她去保齡球館打發時間直到晚間十點半送她回家。兩人在保齡球館聊天，蘇菲娜並發現理查的手受傷。兩人在幾個小時內很快地展現出友好的態度。
里奇帶蘇菲娜回家後，在麥姬家發現一張禁止騷擾的禁制令。麥姬希望理查離開，因為她不希望蘇菲娜有另一個「失敗模範」。里奇對麥姬說了小時候麥姬如何照顧他的故事，並且認為他現在還是一樣尊敬麥姬。里奇回家後躺回浴缸準備繼續自殺，然而電話又響起，麥姬打電話過來希望里奇可以經常性地過來照顧蘇菲娜，而里奇最後同意。
