生平
1953年，康罗伊出生于美国佐治亚州沃尔顿县门罗 (佐治亚州)，父亲是一个企业高管，母亲是企业工作人员。[1]
1971年1972年期间，她在宾夕法尼亚州卡莱尔狄金森学院读书，在校期间，她喜欢体育运动和戏剧。[2]
大学毕业后，她搬迁到纽约市朱丽亚德学院读书，1973年到1977年，她是茱莉亚第六组成员，同时包括凯尔希·格兰莫、哈里特·桑塞姆·哈里斯、罗宾·威廉斯。[3]
