簡介

《派對動物》為凱莎的首張專輯，原本凱莎一直在幫其他藝人作曲或配唱，終於有機會能發唱片，在專輯發行前率先發行了首張單曲〈跑趴滴答〉，〈跑趴滴答〉獲得了《告示牌》百強單曲榜的冠軍，且後來獲得八白金的認證[2]，讓這張專輯尚未推出前就備受期待。

背景

凱莎早在多錢就就開始錄製了多首樣本唱片，而後來樣本被BMI的主管Samantha Cox交給了他的同事Lukasz Gottwald也就是Dr.Luke，而凱莎18歲時被簽到了Dr.Luke的唱片公司「Kemosabe Records」，但是Luke總是忙於其他的項目，凱莎因而轉簽到「David Sonenberg 's management company」（DAS），在DAS的那段期間，他曾與一些頂級的編劇及製作人一起工作過但很少時間能與Dr.Luke接觸，曾有華納音樂的代表Kara DioGuardi想將凱莎給簽下來，但因為Luke的關係而沒成。而後凱莎與DAS解約[3]，在2008年年底剛好Dr.Luke參加了佛羅·里達〈Right Round〉的製作，變找來了凱莎合音並想請他在音樂錄影帶內扮演妓女的角色，但凱莎未答應在音樂錄影帶中演出，而〈Right Round〉單曲的成功，讓凱莎受到矚目，且Luke讓凱莎到許多國家參加演出。而後許多唱片公司開始尋求與凱莎簽訂唱片合約，最終凱莎選擇了RCA Records[4] ，她說「Rani（RCA的代表）永遠不試圖審查我……」。
