简约古典主义

简约古典主义 (也称“剥离古典主义、现代希腊风”)[1]（Stripped Classicism, Modern Greek）是一种20世纪的古典主义建筑风格。这种建筑除去了绝大部分的装饰，常常被政府用来设计官方公共建筑。这种风格在整体体量和规模上采用了一种“简化但可清晰识别的”古典主义风格，同时摒弃了传统的装饰细节[2][3][4][5]。建筑的柱式只是在形式和结构上有所暗示或间接涉及。[upper-alpha 1]

位于圣彼得堡圣艾萨克广场的德国帝国大使馆（German Imperial Embassy ）（建造于1911至1912年）被认为是简约古典主义的经典建筑。第一次世界大战期间，最初放置在屋顶基座上的大型雕像被拆除后，它的形态被进一步简化。

简约古典主义被认为是政治现代化的一种唯物主义表现。在近期的历史研究中，明确地将这种建筑风格与现代主义思维的关系与1920—1930年代兴起的各种政治潮流联系在一起。这种潮流利用艺术来表达内在形式——一种面向未来的强大政治朝气。[6]

另有观点认为，简约古典主义深受先锋派（Avant-garde）的影响，像意大利的未来主义者一样，赞美着现代世界的无数可能性。[7]简约古典主义由法国人保罗·菲利普·克雷特（Paul Philippe Cret）和其他人推广，并在纳粹德国、法西斯意大利、苏联和美国等国家中得到应用。
