这种类型由 Temple H. Fay 发现。可用下列参数方程表示：

${\displaystyle {\begin{aligned}x&=\sin t(e^{\cos t}-2\cos 4t-\sin ^{5}{\frac {t}{12}})\\y&=\cos t(e^{\cos t}-2\cos 4t-\sin ^{5}{\frac {t}{12}})\end{aligned}}}$

也可以写成极坐标形式：

${\displaystyle r=e^{\sin \theta }-2\cos 4\theta +\sin ^{5}{\frac {2\theta -\pi }{24}}}$

或: ${\displaystyle r=e^{\cos \theta }-2\cos 4\theta +\sin ^{5}{\frac {2\theta -\pi }{24}}}$
