1973年，麦金农出生在澳大利亚昆士兰伊萨山，父亲安妮特·麦金农，她有一个弟弟和一个妹妹，罗比和凯恩。[1] 麦金农是苏格兰后裔，她出生后不久全家就搬迁到新南威尔士州居住。

个人生活

2010年3月19日，麦金农生了一个男婴，马迪根·詹姆斯·麦金农。[2]
