亨利·路易斯·「H·L」·孟肯（Henry Louis "H. L." Mencken；1880年9月12日—1956年1月29日），是美國記者、諷刺作家、文化評論家，以及美式英語學者。

早年生活
亨利孟肯於1880年9月12日出生於馬利蘭州巴爾的摩，他是位有德國血統的雪茄廠東主的兒子。當亨利孟肯三歲時，他一家搬到面向巴爾的摩聯合廣告的一個單位。除他結婚那五年，亨利孟肯一生都住在這裡[1]。
在他暢銷回憶錄《快樂日子 1880-1892》之中，他形容他於巴爾的摩的童年是平靜、安穩、太平而且快樂。[2]
