HD 142是一颗距离地球大约84光年的6等恒星[1]，位于凤凰座中。1984年发现的伴星使它成为一个双星系统[3]。

2001年，由克里斯·廷尼领导的英澳行星搜索计划团队宣布发现了这颗恒星的一颗太阳系外行星[4]。它的径向速度有额外的线性变化趋势，可能是有其他行星或恒星的伴星摄动造成的[5]。
