Šmarje (pronounced [ˈʃmaːɾjɛ]; Italian: Monte di Capodistria) is a village in the City Municipality of Koper in the Littoral region of Slovenia.[2]
The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.[3]
