The 2017 Hazfi Cup Final was the 30th final of the Hazfi Cup since its inauguration in 1975. It was contested by Tractor S.C. and Naft Tehran F.C.. Both teams were in poor form in the domestic league, and the Cup Final was their door to the AFC Champions League; the winner would proceed to the AFC Champions League group stage, and the runner-up would move into the play-offs. Both sides were coached by Iranian coaches; Amir Ghalenoei with Tractor S.C. and Ali Daei for Naft Tehran F.C..

The game was dominated by Tractor Sazi but they missed most of their chances, including a penalty at the 27th minute. Sajjad Shahbazzadeh's 88th-minute goal gave Naft Tehran the title.

Format

The tie was contested over one leg, like the previous edition. If the teams could still not be separated, then extra time would have been played with a penalty shootout (taking place if the teams were still level after that).
