The 2024 NRL season will be the 117th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 27th season run by the National Rugby League.
Teams
The lineup of teams in the league remained unchanged after the admission of the Dolphins into the competition in the previous season, with seventeen participating in the regular season: ten from New South Wales, four from Queensland and one from each of Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand.
Pre-season
16 Pre-season matches will be played from 15 February to 25 February 2024.
Regular season
- For the first time, the NRL season will begin with a split-round, commencing with a double-header at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the Sydney Roosters facing the Brisbane Broncos, and the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles taking on the South Sydney Rabbitohs[4] on 2 March 2024.
- Subsequently, the Broncos and Sea Eagles will become the first two sides in NRL history to play in three separate countries during the regular season (Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America).[5]
