The 2025 FIBA Asia Cup will be the 31st edition of the FIBA Asia Cup, the continental basketball championship in Asia. The tournament will be organised by FIBA Asia.

Saudi Arabia will the host for second time after staging the 1997 edition.[1][2] It will take place between 5 and 17 August 2025.

Australia will be the defending champions.

Host selection

On 7 December 2023, Saudi Arabia was selected to host the upcoming Asia Cup in 2025. Games are to be played in Jeddah.[3]

Qualification

The qualification started on 22 June 2022. Teams that did not manage to advance to the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification and the teams that did not participate in it played in the first round of the pre-qualifiers. Pre-qualifiers were held in the western and eastern regions to determine the eight teams who will join the 16 teams that participated in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. Below is the list of qualified teams to the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. Saudi Arabia qualified by virtue of being confirmed as host on 7 December 2023, although they have entered the qualification process prior to the confirmation of their hosting.
