Adam Jiříček (born 28 June 2006) is a Czech ice hockey defenceman for the HC Plzeň of the Czech Extraliga.[1] He is considered one of the top defensemen in his age group, and a likely first round pick in the 2024 NHL draft.[2]

Playing career

Jiříček won a silver medal at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.[3]

Jiříček was a member of the bronze medal winning Team Czechia at the 2024 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, however, he was injured in the opening match against Team Slovakia, underwent knee surgery and was replaced by Adam Židlický.[4]

Personal life

Jiříček is the younger brother of NHL defenseman David Jiříček.[5]
