Imagicaa is a 130-acre (53 ha) theme park in Khopoli, Raigad District, Maharashtra, India. It is owned by Imagicaa World Entertainment Ltd.[1][2][3] Imagicaa is listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).[4] The Malpani Group from Sangamner are the promoters, with Mr. Rajesh Malpani as Chairman, Mr. Jai Malpani as MD, and Mr. Dhimant Bakshi as CEO. Imagicaa is an integrated holiday destination spread over 110 acres. It contains a water park, the hotel Novotel Imagicaa with 287 Rooms and a large banqueting facility, and India's largest snow park with real edible snow. The parks have an estimated daily capacity of 15,000 visitors. [5] The park has hosted over 10.5 million visitors..

History

This adventure park opened in April 2013.[1]

The park was temporarily closed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[6]

Following a second lockdown due to the pandemic, Imagicaa reopened on 22 October 2021.[7]

Parks

Central park

The central park was 110 acres large at its opening.[1] This space is split into six zones: Viva Europa, Americana, Jambo Africa, Asiana, Arabia, and India.[1]

Nitro roller coaster

The park has three roller coasters: Nitro, Deep Space , and Gold Rush.

The Scream Machine at Imagicaa Theme Park

The park also has the Scream Machine, a teacup ride, water-based bumper cars, and a carousel. One of the rides, "Mr. India", is based on the 1987 Bollywood film “Mr. India", starring Anil Kapoor, while another ride is based on the animated character Chhota Bheem.[8]

There are also some rides specifically for children, including a log flume ride, a mini Ferris wheel, a mini drop ride, and a mini carousel.

Several shows and attractions are also present within the park, including two movie experiences, a comedy show, an evening lights show, and "the first official Bollywood Hall of Fame".[1][9]

Aquamagica

The water park opened in 2014, and includes water slides, a rafting ride, a mat racer, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a kiddie pool.[3]

Snow park

In 2016 the Imagicaa Snow Park, an indoor snow-based theme park, was opened.[2] The park is spread across an area of 15,000 sq ft (1,400 m2). The park includes basketball, slides, a short hiking trail, play areas, and three cafes.[2]

Events

The park holds a special parade and carnival to celebrate Christmas.[10][11]
