Mohammed Adnan al-Bakkour is the former Attorney General for the Hama Governorate in Syria, who resigned during the violent crackdown on protesters in the 2011 Syrian uprising.[1][2][3] SANA, the Syrian state news agency, claimed that he had been kidnapped and coerced to make his statements.[4] Al-Bakkour released a subsequent video statement denying SANA's claims.[5]
