Anton Lupeski was a fictional character featured in the original Tomb of Dracula horror comic book series by Marvel Comics.[1]
Background
He first appeared in Tomb of Dracula #45[2] and was killed off in Tomb of Dracula #59.[3]
Anton Lupeski was a Satanic cult leader who summoned Dracula, believing that he was actually summoning Satan himself. Unable to control Dracula as he had hoped, Anton then began conspiring to destroy the Lord of Vampires. He even went so far as to conspire with Dracula's most hated enemies: Quincy Harker and his trained team of vampire hunters.
The character of Anton Lupeski was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gene Colan.[4][5]
Anton Lupeski's name and background were patterned after Satanic cult leader Anton LaVey.[5]
