Appanoose is a ghost town in Franklin County, Kansas, United States.[1]
Appanoose was issued a post office in 1857. The post office was discontinued in 1860.[2]
Appanoose is also the name of the most northeastern township in Franklin County. The township had a high school called the Appanoose Indians until 1944 but still has an elementary school that is operated under West Franklin USD 287 as well as an active church.
