Atasha Bonnin Muhlach (Tagalog pronunciation: [ˈmulak]; born November 5, 2001) is a Filipino media personality, television host, and model known for being the other half of the twins of the celebrity couple, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales.[1] She made her first foray into showbusiness through the noontime show, E.A.T. on September 23, 2023.[2]
Currently, she is part of the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga! following the victory of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon in their legal dispute against TAPE Inc. approved by the Marikina City Regional Trial Court on December 22, 2023.[3]
Personal life
Atasha's parents are seasoned actors, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, both of whom are actors with years of showbiz experience in the bag. Atasha is often viewed as a potential beauty queen by many. She has a twin brother, Andrés Muhlach, and an older half-brother, Luigi "Iggy Boy" Muhlach, who is Aga's son with Janice de Belen. After graduating high school from the British School Manila, Atasha went on to attend university in London, where she took up a business-related course.[4]
Atasha attended the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes in November 2022, an annual event in Paris, France with a select group of 20–25 girls from around the world to raise funds for young women's charities.[5][6]
Months prior to her debut as a host of the noontime show E.A.T., she earned a business degree with honors from Nottingham Trent University in London, England on July 28, 2023. Atasha is a fitness enthusiast and athlete, apart from swimming, marathon, basketball, golf, and having played for the under-18 women's national rugby team, she also does wakeboarding, jet skiing, parasailing, and snorkelling.[7]
Career
Beginning during her childhood, Atasha has appeared on Jollibee commercials alongside her parents and twin brother Andres.
With a showbiz lineage, Atasha entered the industry after completing business school in Nottingham because her parents encouraged her to focus more on her studies. During her contract signing with Viva Artists Agency in July 2023, she disclosed that her aspiration to join the showbiz industry had been a dream since she was a kid.[8]
To start her career, she took on a new role, Atasha was introduced as the newest addition to the set of E.A.T. hosts on the September 23 episode of the noontime show. Before her introduction and performance, hosts Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon described the young celebrity as a fashionista, studious, performer, artist, and family-oriented.[9]
On October 25, 2023, Atasha released its first single, Pasuyo, under Viva Records, which was praised by fans and fellow celebrities for its relatable pop arrangement with well-planned composition by Kyle Raphael and produced by JP Verona.[10]
Atasha has now been part of Eat Bulaga! , the Philippines' longest-running noontime TV program, after TVJ won a trademark dispute against Jalosjos-owned TAPE Inc., allowing them to use the trademark and drop their placeholder title, E.A.T. on January 6, 2024.[3]
