Auriculella ambusta is a species of air-breathing tropical land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Achatinellidae. This species is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands.
Description
To describe what a Auriculella Ambusta is - it's a white shell and there can be markings on them from time to time.[2]
Habitat
Some can be found in Oahu specifically in Waianae mountains and west Oahu.[3][4] To survive they would eat Fungi, bacteria, and Leafs.[5]
Many of the land snails goes extinct due to predators like a rodent, mongoose, etc. Over 752 land snails have been pushed into extinction due to these predators. There closest living relative is the Achatinella tree snails which are and bigger is size.
Diet
Their diet consists of leaves from native trees similar to their other relatives.[6]
