Babolrud Rural District (Persian: دهستان بابلرود)[3] is in the Central District of Babolsar County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Babol Posht.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 11,644 in 3,126 households.[5] There were 13,178 inhabitants in 4,067 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 11,244 in 3,753 households. The largest of its eight villages was Ojak Sar, with 3,511 people.[2]
