Bartosz Pastuszka (born 14 February 1983) is a risk and security industry entrepreneur, management expert, founder of IBBC Group, and CEO of NaviRisk. Pastuszka specializes in risk assessments, business intelligence, investigative audits, and background checks. He was the first director of Pinkerton, the world's oldest detective agency, in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. He is the owner of the Eastshield fund, a partner in the law firm Crisis Legal Solutions and the Managing Partner of SecUA — a company operating on the Ukrainian market, specialising in business security services. He is a licensed detective, fallow deer breeder and tractor collector.[1]

Early life and education

Pastuszka was born on 14 February 1983 in Radom, Poland. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. In 2014, he also completed the University of Maryland's elite Resilient Leadership program.[2]

Career

In 2007, Pastuszka founded the IBBC Group, a market leader in the field of comprehensive corporate security and risk management in Poland and Central Europe.[3][4]

As IBBC Group CEO, Pastuszka advises companies in the area of cybersecurity and business security.[5]

He also advises corporations on the acquisition of companies and risk.[6][7]

In 2014, 35 per cent stake in the company created by Pastuszka was acquired by the Swedish company Secredo - as a part of Securitas and Pinkerton Group.[5]

In 2016, Pastuszka sold 100 percent of IBBC Group to Pinketon.[8][9]

During 2016–2017, Pastuszka became the first Pinkerton's director for Central and Eastern Europe. He was responsible for supporting Pinkerton's global clients in Central and Eastern Europe in the areas of security, risk management, crisis management, and the development of the Pinkerton brand in this region of Europe.[8][10]

In 2018, Bartosz Pastuszka became a founder and a managing partner, CEO of NaviRisk, a global network of business risk, intelligence, cybersecurity, and security consulting firms.[2] The company currently has 5 offices: in Warsaw, Stockholm, Prague, Kiev and Riga.

In February 2019, he became Managing Partner of SecUA, a company specializing in business security services in the Ukrainian market. With partners in Latvia, he built up a network of consultants in Ukraine, familiar with the specifics of the market and local conditions.[11]

Pastuszka is active as a consultant in the former Soviet Union countries, and it supports foregin companies present on this area.[12]

As a managing partner of SecUA and a risk management specialist, Pastuszka participates in conferences and conferences on the armed conflict in Ukraine, commenting as an expert on the business situation and the possibilities of rebuilding the country.[13][14]

Pastuszka was involved in the evacuation of Ukrainian ASIS International members and their families and persons from other professional organisations after the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022, organizing logistical, financial and psychological support.[15]

He is the creator of system solutions to eliminate pathologies in business, such as: BSS (Background Screening System), a system tool used to manage risk during the recruitment process in large companies,[16] and EthicalLinia.pl platform[17] allowing for anonymous reporting of irregularities in the company and IPR Protection System - a system allowing companies to detect and manage cases of forgery and counterfeiting of their products. He is the owner of the Business Authentication Solutions brand, a technology that uses Crypto QR codes in the fight against counterfeiting. At NaviRisk, he created a unit dedicated to cybersecurity and the development of dedicated services and tools in the area of cyber risk - CyberPrevent Solutions.

Social activities

From about 10 years, Bartosz Pastuszka is a member of ASIS International, an international industry association of business security. Pastuszka was the initiator of the establishment of the Polish branch of the ASIS International association. ASIS International Poland Chapter was officially registered in January 12,[18] 2022, and Pastuszka is a member of the audit committee[19] Pastuszka is a licensed private investigator[20] and a member of WAD.

Since 2015, he is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, speaking on entrepreneurship and business ethics topics.[21]

His companies support University of Warsaw graduates by sponsoring competitions for young entrepreneurs. Pastuszka was the founder and first editor-in-chief of a magazine for the business security industry, Business Security Magazine.[22][23][2]

In November 2015, Pastuszka organized a series of internationally recognized conferences in the CEE Fraud & Risk Conference series about security of the international business community.[24][25][26]

Bartosz Pastuszka supported humanitarian projects for children in need, particularly in armed conflict settings. NaviRisk was a partner of PCPM Polish Centre for International Aid on a project to support child nutrition in Ethiopia.

Pаstuszka, as CEO of NAviRisk, is also a partner of a number of Polish foundations, such as the “Dorastaj Z Nami Foundation” - “Grow up with us” - which cares for orphans of deceased police officers or other uniformed services.[27]
