Biejjenniejte ("Daughter of the Sun") was a deity of the Sami mythology.[1]

She is the goddess of medicine and healing. She is the daughter of the sun goddess Beaivi.[lower-alpha 1] She is particularly helpful towards illnesses caused by her mother, the Sun.

Notes

  1. In a Swedish-language dictionary, she is referred to as Beive-neida, translated as Soljungfrun ("Sun Maiden").[2]
