The Burma National Revolutionary Army (Burmese: ဗမာအမျိုးသားတော်လှန်ရေးတပ်မတော်, abbreviated BNRA, formerly the Myanmar Royal Dragon Army) is an ethnic armed organization in Myanmar. The BNRA was established on September 9, 2023, and was reformed and renamed from the Myanmar Royal Dragon Army.[2] The leader of BNRA is Bo Nagar,[3] and most of its members are from Sagaing Region, Magway Region and Mandalay Region.
The BNRA intends to fight for the Bamar ethnicity in solidarity and cooperation with the whole country. They intend to work together with the National Unity Government, with whom they met on September 12, 2023 to discuss integration of the BNRA into the NUG's Chain of Command.[4] Political analysts Than Soe Naing remarked this change as a step towards creating a Bamar EAO.[5]
