Camila Andrea Pinzón Jiménez (born 27 September 1995) is a Colombian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss World Colombia 2022. Pinzón is the first delegate from Boyacá to ever be crowned Miss Mundo Colombia. She will represent Colombia at Miss World 2023 in New Delhi, India.[1]
Early life and education
Camila was born on 27 September 1995 in Duitama, Boyacá to father Javier Pinzón and mother Claudia Jiménez. She speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian.[2] She completed her elementary and high school education at Colegio Campestre Suazapawa in Nobsa, Boyacá.[3] Later, she lived between France and England studying her undergraduate in Foreign Languages Applied [4] (Langues étrangères appliquées) at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University Paris 3 and a master's degree from NEOMA Business School and a summer course at the Cambridge University.[5]
Model
As a model, she has walked the runway for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior and Prada. In April 2023, she was interviewed for 2 hours in French by Léa Salamé in Paris, France on the show "Quelle époque !"[6] In December 2022, she was interviewed for a few minutes on Polish television in English to talk her mission of trying to raise awareness about the invasion of Ukraine in Latin America and to send a message of solidarity.[7]
Pageantry
Miss Universe Colombia 2021
Camila participated in the 2nd edition of the Miss Universe Colombia contest that took place on Monday, 18 October 2021 at the Chamorro City Hall in the city of Bogotá, competing against 24 other applicants for the title where she achieved the Top 13; the winner of the contest was Valeria Ayos from Cartagena.[8][9]
Miss World Colombia 2022
Camila competed as the great favorite to win the contest and the final took place on 20 August 2022 at the Military Club of Army Officers in the city of Bogotá. During the Fast Tracks events, she won the title of “Beauty With a Purpose” due to her social project related education. At the end of the event, she was crowned Miss World Colombia 2022 by her predecessor, Andrea Aguilera from Antioquia. She will represent Colombia at Miss World 2023.[10]
Miss World 2023
Pinzón will represent Colombia at the Miss World 2023 on March 2, 2024 in New Delhi, India.[1]
