Shahanjarin (Persian: شاهنجرین), formerly Changarin (چانگرين), also Romanized as Chāngarīn, is a city in, and the capital of, Shahanjarin District of Dargazin County, Hamadan province, Iran.[3]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,224 in 558 households, when it was a village in Darjazin-e Olya Rural District of the former Qorveh-e Darjazin District of Razan County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,362 people in 677 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,584 people in 597 households.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Dargazin County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Qorveh-e Dargazin as its capital.[3] After the census, the village was elevated to the status of a city.[6]
