Charles Armitt (10 January 1926[3] – 17 April 2004) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He played at representative level for England and Lancashire, and at club level for Swinton, Huddersfield and Blackpool Borough as a second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1]

Club career
Armitt was transferred from Swinton to Huddersfield in July 1953.[4] A year later he transferred to Blackpool Borough.[5]
Representative honours
Armitt won a cap for England while at Swinton in 1949 against Other Nationalities.[2] He also played for Lancashire.[4]
