Chestnut is a 2023 American drama film directed by Jac Cron and starring Natalia Dyer, Rachel Keller and Danny Ramirez.[1] It is Cron's feature directorial debut.[2]
Premise
During the summer after graduating from college, Annie is stuck in her university town of Philadelphia. After meeting Tyler and Danny in a bar, Annie becomes entangled in a love triangle.[3]

Production
Principal photography on Chestnut began in September 2021 in Philadelphia and wrapped in October 2021.[2] Cron has stated that Dyer was her first choice for the role of Annie.[1]
Release
Chestnut premiered at the Frameline Film Festival in June 2023.[4] On November 3, 2023, the film premiered at the Austin Film Festival.[5]
Reception
Wyatt Frantz of Josh at the Movies awarded the film three stars out of five.[6]
Branyan Towe of Loud and Clear awarded the film four stars out of five.[7]
