Cian (Irish: [ˈciənˠ]; Old Irish: Cían) is a Gaelic given name meaning "ancient".[1] Cian was the eighth most popular Irish boys name in Ireland in 2003, and the fourteenth most popular in 2015.[2] Anglicisations of Cian include Kian or Kyan.[3]
