Claire Rafferty is a Northern Irish actress.[1][2] She studied drama at Queen's University Belfast (2000 – 2003) followed by London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.[3] On television, she played Anna Haldane in the first series of Shetland, Detective Constable Christine Larkin in The Fall series 2 and 3, Tabitha Richie (lead role) in Banged Up Abroad: Bogota Belly Bust, and deputy headmistress Miss Mooney in all series of Derry Girls.

Critical review

Her work on the stage has received critical appreciation:

There's concentrated acting from ... Claire Rafferty ...

The love-stricken Christine, who is played by a glowing Claire Rafferty, sparkles when on stage with Daniel Hawsford, who plays Michaels father, and the two produce some of the production's most genuinely charming moments.

reviewing Dancing at Lughnasa

The Big Fellah should also be enthralling given its quota of dark humour, undercover agents, internecine rivalries and courts martial. Yet, strangely, the end result is a damp squib, in spite of fine ensemble playing from Rory Keenan, Claire Rafferty, ...

Yet it is the three witches, played by Carol Moore, Eleanor Methven and Claire Rafferty that are the most captivating members of the cast.

Romano Mullin, The Gown[7]
reviewing Macbeth

Perhaps the most striking instance of this is Lady Macduff (Claire Rafferty)
