ClickUp is a project management software with features including tasks, whiteboards, spreadsheets, and document collaboration on a unified platform.[1] It was founded by Zeb Evans and Alex Yurkowski in 2017.[2][3]

History

In 2017, Zeb Evans and Alex Yurkowski founded ClickUp as an internal tool before being launched publicly as a cloud-based collaboration and productivity software.[4] The company was headquartered in San Francisco before moving to San Diego, California in January 2020.

In June 2020, the company secured $35M in Series A funding. In December 2020, ClickUp closed another $100 million in funding reaching a $1B in valuation.[5]

In 2021, ClickUp raised $400M at a $4B valuation and expanded the platform to Europe, opening an office in Dublin.[6][7] The same year ClickUp opened an Asia Pacific headquarters in Sydney.[8]

In July 2023, ClickUp laid off 10% of its workforce. With a total headcount of about 900 employees, it represents approximately 90 people. [9]

Product

ClickUp is SaaS-based and customizable.[10]

Operations

In April 2022, ClickUp acquired SlapDash, the developer of a unified search tool for enterprise applications.[11][12]
