David Cheruiyot (born 1973) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in marathon. He is a four-time ING Ottawa Marathon title holder.[1][2]

Career

He won the 33rd edition of Ottawa Marathon title with a new course record of 2:10:35.4 beating the 2004 course record of 2:11:47set by a fellow Kenyan Elly Rono in the 42.2 kilometer race.[3] He won the Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Bank Marathon with the time of 2:16:44, beating Rochester Hills runner Clint Verran with the time of 2:18:21 to a second position. His course record of 2:10:35.4 in 42.2-kilometer race at the 33rd Ottawa Marathon is his personal best.[4][5]
