Deborah Abiodun (born 2 November 2003) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Rivers Angels and the Nigeria women's national team.[2][3][4] She played in the 2022 U20 World Cup.[5]
2023 World Cup
Abiodun was sent off in Nigeria's opening match of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup against Canada for a rough challenge on Ashley Lawrence.[6] This was the first red card of the World Cup 2023. The Nigeria midfielder was nominated for the CAF player of the year award alongside Opeyemi Ajakaye and Oluwatosin Demehin in 2023. [7]
