Decker the Halls is the ninth release overall and sixth extended play by American country music singer Jessie James Decker, this is her 2nd Christmas EP following her first full-length Christmas album in 2018 On This Holiday and her 2015 EP This Christmas.

To celebrate the release of the ep 5 songs got YouTube visualizers[1] along with Tangled in Tinsel (Official Music Video) which was a collection of photo shoots for the visuals for this ep.

Decker also shared a clip showing her children recording the track “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.”[2]

She will celebrate the holidays with a performance of “Tangled in Tinsel” live for the first time on the 97th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.[3]

This ep includes her previous released 2020 single “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” yet strangely doesn't include the 2021 holiday single “Christmas Every Day”.

Critical reception

From The Detroit News "Jessie James Decker possesses one of the finest voices in country music today, which she showcases in such grand style on this six-track EP. The music ranges from the cutesy “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” to a Springsteen-worthy version of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. Yet, our top pick on the album is the gorgeous take on “Away In a Manger.”[5]

From Target "Jessie notably co-wrote "Tangled In Tinsel" with Shane Stevens and Agee. This upbeat and undeniable gem has all the makings of a future staple for the season. Elsewhere, her dynamic vocals light up "Top Of My List"-a new cut penned by Daniel Tashian. She infuses "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" with fresh energy and cheer, while she duets with her children Vivianne Decker, Eric Decker II, and Forest Decker for the first time on "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus." It concludes with a spirited and emotional take on "Away In A Manger" with harmonies by Jessie's mother Karen Parker, sister Sydney Bass and sister-in-law Ali James."[6]
